Wargame: Airland Battle App Reviews

Cannot play this game online since the update has not come out for Macs on the app store yet and no word when (if) it will come out. Online play is the majority of the playability of this game. When the update comes out I think this will be a great game but I would not buy this until it does. The new version is v1616.

Good game, single player is fun but multiplayer is a huge part of the game. Without it its only a so-so game. Not worth full price until multiplayer is working

Common Apple, get your stuff together. Like other reviewers have said, this game is great because of the multiplayer. If you do not release the update, then I guess Ill just have to stop buying games from the App Store…

Having issues with stability and performance. When I’m able to play consistently has been great though.

The only complaint i have is that you cant play multiplayer because you cant get an update for the game through iTunes… yet. I would love to say this game is perfect but i want to use the multiplayer and can’t. so if your expecting to get this game and play with your friends you cant until they give us an update to v1613.

Despite what has been said this game provides and ultra realistic and intense version of what might have happened in history… No glitches no probles. For any stradigy lover this is a must!!!! Focus games did an exellent job on graphics and story line. Multiplay is a never slow… It does deppend on if you have a clear wifi connection to your computer.

I really like this game and have no problems with it at all. It is my favorite era military gaming wise. Hope they continue to support it.

I love strategy in general. I enjoy Civ, and some other applications. As far as I can tell the screenshots are not in game shots, they are title screens. The tutorials really don’t show you how to use units at all. Commands for the units are confusing…(after you unload infantry how do you load them again). For the money this game is not what it should be. Hopefully after a while I change my rating but for now it’s not so good. Update: Also can’t use multi player functionality since there is no way to update the application. The game description clearly advertises multi player, and you can’t use it. Be Warned! Decreased rating to 1 star.

love the game, really boss, the multi is huge, should get, it is worth the money. I have a macbook pro 2011 and it does not lag on my graphics settings. Should get, great game. plz get the update out PLEASE!!!!

Multiplayer doesnt work due to the fact theres no update, and no patch available to download. Also, people are on different versions…. Kinda feel like i wasted money since i could have gotten it on steam like apparently everyone else did…>>>>>

I love the game. European escalation, the predecessor of airland, was awesome. I bought this hoping to play multiplayer and the fact that App Store has not released the update even though it is available has made me a bit frustrated. I fear that when App Store finally releases the update that the third installment of wargame will be released and thus a diminished multiplayer crowd to interact among. Thanks App Store. My 5-star rating is for the game itself, not for the app stores handling of update releases. If I were making this purchase again I would check with other sources to download the game and check if they are timely in their updating.

The App store takes forever to release the updates which means you can’t play multiplayer. Buy this on Steam instead. The game is incredible, though a very high learning curve. Unfortunatley, the game shines in multiplayer, which I can’t play on the app store version (have to buy another steam copy) because Apple insists on reviewing each update and takes their time doing so.

I should have read other reviews before buying. The game itself is fantastic, but because Apple can’t get their act together in terms of the gaming community it is stuck on update 1.4. It needs 1.6 to play multiplayer. Multiplayer is the whole point of this game. This will be the LAST game I buy from the App store. I guess Apple is happy to lose customers/money.

Will not load at all. Shuts down during start up every single time.

Single player great, but mutliplayer would be amazing. Apple dont seem to be updating the app so its almost impossible to find other players with same version. Better off using Steam. What a shame.

From the game description in the App Store: “This game features ultra-complete multiplayer modes where up to 20 players do battle simultaneously.” Actually, if you buy this game from the App Store, you won’t be able to use ANY of its online/multiplayer features. You’ll only be able to play against the computer. You’re better off buying the game from Steam.
